The legs of the stool draw inspiration from the intricate patterns and stability found in trees and their roots. The design reflects a harmonious blend of nature and functionality, capturing the essence of organic forms. By mirroring the strength and branching structure of tree roots, the stool not only serves as a practical piece of furniture but also brings a touch of natural aesthetics into the living space. The choice of this design concept not only adds visual interest but also conveys a connection to the environment, creating a unique and inviting atmosphere within the room.

2023/24 WS In a stressful world we need a safe space, a space to relax and get away from the trouble surrounig us. With the "hocker. - DIY Kit" you can create your own safespace. The object and Kit is conntected to the topic of Forest Bathing. Forest bathing, also known as Shinrin-yoku, is recognized for its numerous health benefits. Time spent in the serene atmosphere of the forest has been linked to reduced stress levels, improved mood, and enhanced immune function. This practice is associated with increased focus, creativity, and better sleep. Moreover, it fosters a sense of connection with nature, promoting overall well-being and an appreciation for the environment.

Findings On Soil
Life on earth depends on healthy soils. We focused on soil as a do-it-yourself material in the context of art, design and architecture. Through hands-on exercises and guest workshops we explored its material qualities, its everyday use and discussed possible futures for the world of soils. With the BITZ fablab we developed experimental kits to (re)connect and engage people with soil.
